Come join us at "Sew it!" and learn how to operate a sewing machine, sew in a straight line and what all those buttons are for.

This class is perfect for anyone looking to jump start their sewing journey by learning beginner sewing skills. Our experienced instructor, Chris Cooper, will guide you through the process step by step, so don't worry if you're new to sewing! Sewing machines and supplies provided, just bring your enthusiasm and creativity.

Sew Happy Party! 

This fun and creative hands-on workshop offers a great opportunity for participants (kids ages 9-13) to learn a new skill. In our small group setting, participants will learn basic sewing techniques that will help their creativity shine as they make one take home project.

Unboxing your Sewing Machine - Adults/Kids

Get your new sewing machine up and running with ease in the "Unboxing Your Sewing Machine" class at studio-tissue8. I will guide you through the process of setting up your machine, ensuring you know how to operate it without a hitch.  Also, I'll answer any questions you may have along the way, so you can start creating beautiful projects in no time. Must bring a sewing machine, operators manual and all parts.

Begin your sewing journey now! Learn basic skills and the foundation of sewing with our Sewing for Beginners class at Studio Tissue8. Chris Cooper, experienced seamstress will guide you through the process of mastering sewing techniques, from threading a needle to creating a simple project. Whether you want to create your own clothes or just learn a new hobby, our beginner sewing classes are perfect for you. Sewing supplies required. Sewing machines provided.

Join us on Friday Nights for our Sip & Sew events at Studio-Tissue8. This is a creative and fun meet-up for beginners and/or girls’ night out. Sew while enjoying a beverage of your choice. Meets on Friday evenings, once a month

What you should know about the sewing classes:

"A"/adults: 18 & up

"K"/kids: 9-13, or 9 - 17 (will be noted)

Parents/guardian must accompany all kids at every lesson.

All lessons are hands-on group instruction (no guests are allowed to sit in on classes).

All lessons are held at Studio Tissue8, Fairfax Station, VA, near Henderson & Ox Road (address provided after registration).

Sewing supplies and sewing machines are required for some classes (will be noted).
