Unboxing your Sewing Machine - Adults/Kids

I will guide you through the process of setting up your machine, ensuring you know how to operate it without a hitch. Also, I'll answer any questions you may have along the way, so you can start creating beautiful projects in no time. Must bring a sewing machine, operators manual and all parts.

Chris Cooper, experienced seamstress will guide you through the process of mastering sewing techniques, from threading a needle to creating a simple project. Whether you want to create your own clothes or just learn a new hobby, our beginner sewing classes are perfect for you. Sewing supplies required. Sewing machines provided.

Join us on Friday Nights for our Sip & Sew events at Studio-Tissue8. This is a creative and fun meet-up for beginners and/or girls’ night out. Sew while enjoying a beverage of your choice. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process and help you create your own unique piece. Don't miss out on the opportunity to unwind and let your creativity flow. Register now!

Meets on Friday evenings, once a month
Time: 120 min.
Fabric for project $15 (payable @ class).
Sewing supplies and machine provided by ST8.
What you should know about the sewing classes:
"A"/adults: 18 & up
"K"/kids: 7-9, 10-13, or 14- 17 (will be noted)
Parents/guardians must accompany all kids at every lesson.
Lessons are hands-on individual group instruction (no guests are allowed to sit in on classes).
All lessons are held at Studio Tissue8 (Fairfax Station, VA.) or at Fabric Place Basement Store (Alexandria, VA.).
Sewing supplies and sewing machines are required for some classes (will be noted).
