Service Description
This hands-on sewing class is designed especially for kids ages 10–12 who are ready to learn the art of sewing. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of sewing in a fun, supportive, and confidence-building environment. In this class, students will: • Learn basic sewing machine safety and operation • Practice essential sewing skills such as threading, straight stitching, and seam control • Explore fabric, color, and simple design choices • Complete age-appropriate take away project Prerequisite to joining this class is: Unboxing your Sewing w/Chris. Experience is required. The class is intentionally kept small to ensure personalized instruction, plenty of guidance, and a calm learning pace. Sewing builds patience, problem-solving skills, focus, and creativity—while giving students the joy of making something with their own hands. This class is perfect for kids who love to create, enjoy hands-on activities, or want to begin their sewing journey. Students leave with new skills, increased confidence, and a strong foundation to continue their sewing journey. Age: 10 - 12 Investment: $225 Dates/times/3 sessions January 17, 2-3:45pm January 31, 2-3:45pm February 14, 2-3:45pm A parent is required to accompany minors to all sessions unless other arrangements are made. Guests are not allowed to sit in on sessions unless otherwise indicated (Buddy series are available). Sewing Supplies: Sewing tools are essential to any sewing project. Below is a list of quality tools (please bring to every session). All items are available at Fabric Place Basement (Don't purchase the per-made sewing kits-the quality is bad and you'll just end up purchasing the items again). Cancellation Policy
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Refunds for class/events are available when the customer cancels 7 days before the first day of class/event. Cancellations made after that time will receive a Studio Tissue8 credit, less a $7.00 handling fee. Credits are non-transferable and can only be used for the same customer within 60 days of issue date. Bookings made within 7 days are non-refundable. All fitting fees are non-refundable. Cancellations will result in forfeit of fees.
